18.30: According to the flight plan there were a total of five people in the helicopters: two in one and three in the other. The accident has resulted in several fatalities. The exact number of victims and the identities of the passengers are still being determined.

16.52: The police have closed the road leading to the airfield and are preventing unauthorized persons from entering the airfield area.

Several rescue units and police patrols are present at the scene. The police have cordoned off the accident area, but the incident does not affect traffic on the Ohikulkutie. The police is conducting technical and tactical investigations at the scene.

14.28: The authorities have found two crashed helicopters. Rescue operations are still ongoing.

13.15: On Saturday, May 17, at 12:35 PM, the police received an emergency call reporting that two helicopters had collided. The first responders are on their way to the scene.
